Welcome to IchessU Open !

Sign up to the IchessU Open Championship tournament. This event is for anybody! To register, please email us to [email protected] Tournament terms:

• Participation in this tournament is free of charge.
• This event uses the Swiss pairing system, and will last 7 Rounds.
• The time control of each game is 60 minutes per player. All games are rated.
• You are not permitted to use chess programs during these games (we will forfeit players we suspect of doing so, at our discretion).
• Should two players tie for first, both split the prize. However, we will then ask for a “Best of 3” 5-minute match between the players to determine the title of “IchessU Champion
• The winners of the championship will be contacted by email to confirm prize delivery details. Please make sure your email in IchessU is up to-date.
• Players can schedule their preferred time to play the game.
• Both players must send an email to [email protected] no later than Tuesday evening stating the day and time they scheduled their game.
• If both players cannot agree on a time/day to play, IchessU will schedule the day and time.
• All games must be finished by Sunday noon Eastern Time.
• If the game is not finished by Sunday, both players get a “bye”, with 0 points for this game.
• Pairings for the next round and results of the previous rounds as well as standings will be published every Monday morning on our website www.ichessu.com.

Prizes:

• 1 month of group lessons in a small group.
• 1 month of group lessons in a large group.
